About us

Lloydscare is owned and managed by a dedicated and experienced team of childcare practitioners. We are an independent organisation with specialist knowledge and expertise in relation to working with Young Adults and Care Leavers.

Lloydscare staff are experienced childcare practitioners. Our backgrounds include working within Local Authority Social Services departments in the areas of Looked After Children, Child Protection, Unaccompanied Minor Asylum Seekers, Leaving Care, Young People subject to Court Orders and Youth Offending Services. Many of our Keyworkers also have experience of working as Youth Workers in community-based groups and as Mentors in schools. Every member of our team holds a valid Enhanced CRB check.

As employers of Social Care Workers we agree to abide by the standards set out in the Code of Practice for Social Care workers and Employers Introduced by the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The growth and development of a young person is central focus to how Lloydscare cater for children and young persons. It is important that the appropriate training and development is given to provide care professionals with the skills they require to help make a real positive difference, for which Lloydscare have a dedicated team committed to making this happen

The Lloydscare Training and Development team provides professional and meaningful training through a range of materials and activities including courses and seminars. Our Training and Development team will ensure that all staff receives comprehensive induction to the new role which will include training in relation to Safeguarding, Health & Safety, Intervention Strategies and First Aid. The staff will receive regular supervision to ensure that the outreach keyworker interventions are meeting the needs of young peoples.

Lloydscare has been established to provide a quality service to care leavers and a professional best value service to Social Services departments across London and Greater London Boroughs.

Aims and Objectives

Lloydscare recognises the obstacles and challenges that face young people as they prepare to leave local authority care and make transition into independence and adulthood. We believe that providing young people with positive role models and empathetic, dedicated experienced Keyworkers, we can equip them with the independent living skills they require to thrive in the wider community.

We will specifically focus our work with young people in the following areas:

  • Providing good quality accommodation in one bedroom/studio flats
  • Budgeting Skills
  • Home Care Skills (e.g. Shopping, Cooking, Cleaning)
  • Accessing/Managing Education or Work
  • Challenging anti-social behaviour
  • Managing relationships
  • Overcoming boredom and isolation
  • Self identity
  • Self care skills
  • Offenders Management Programme

Here at Lloydscare we recognise that many care leavers have experienced trauma in their lives. Moreover, we recognise that they will make mistakes as we all do. Our organisation is fully committed to working with young people in times of both calm and crisis, to allow them every opportunity to fulfil their potential as young adults
